New Ways to Get Ahead in the Workforce for Women

From Huffingtonpost.com and Yahoo.com

A recent Huffington Post article discusses a new book, Honey Money, which says women should use their sexuality to get ahead in the workforce. It is based on the idea that men do not get enough sex and women should use this to get ahead. The author argues that being more attractive allows women to secure more customers, sell products, and be more persuasive.

While there are arenas where attractive women can get ahead, especially the entertainment industry, women should not exploit this.

A recent article about the fall's upcoming new television series including "Pan Am" and "The Playboy Club" to name a few, shows a recent surge of new shows with women in subservient positions with little clothing. These shows normalize male domination and prostitution. Some say this resurgence is due to the economic times where males are loosing economic and social ground to women. As women gain economic ground there is always some backlash to put women back in there place.

What do others think about women using their sexuality to get ahead in tough economic times and the recent surge in new television shows that exploit women? Are these new shows examples of the book Money Honey's theories?
